The second annual patriotic sing-along, “I Pledge Allegiance,” an original Americantata, is looking for singers to lead the group singing and perform choral pieces surrounding the history of America’s Pledge of Allegiance. Rehearsals will be held from 3-5 p.m. Sundays, June 22 and 29, in the Meunier-Pelow Auditorium in Gillett Secondary School. The production will be performed at 7 p.m. Monday, June 30, in the Meunier-Pelow Auditorium.

The Oconto Falls Friends of the Arts will present six shows in its 2014-15 Fine Arts Series. Missoula Children’s Theatre will involve 50 local children in the retelling of “Rapunzel.” The show will be presented at 3 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Falls Area Performing Arts Center at Oconto Falls High School. Tickets are $11 for adults and $6 for students. Irish tenor Anthony Kearns will perform at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, at the PAC.

Joan Chaput, 82, of Crooked Lake, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014. She was born in Milwaukee to the late Charles and Clara (Mueller) Bayer on Feb. 15, 1932. She is survived by her sister, Marion Reik, of Milwaukee, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Francis “Shorty,” on Nov.
