Dorothy M. Lundt

Dorothy M. Lundt, 83, of Shawano, passed away Tuesday morning, July 28, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Dorothy Marie Lundt was born April 4, 1943, in Green Bay, the daughter of the late Adolph and Emma (Olson) Peterson, of Navarino. She graduated from Bonduel High School in 1962. On Oct. 3, 1964, Dorothy was united in marriage to Carl Earl Lundt at Ascension Lutheran Church in Navarino.

A dedicated member of her community and faith, Dorothy was a current member of Zion Lutheran Church in Caroline. Over the years, she faithfully served her church family as president of the altar guild, financial secretary and custodian. She was also an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Caroline.

Dorothy found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. An avid sports fan, she loved cheering on the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards, especially sheepshead, and had a deep affection for animals. Dorothy was a gifted baker and cook, well-known for her delicious lasagna and homemade pies. Though she never much cared for having her photo taken, her warmth, generosity and presence were always clearly felt by those around her.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Denise (Robert) Karpinski and Chad Lundt, both of Shawano; granddaughter, Isabella Green, Clintonville; siblings, Serene Clayton, Huntington Beach, California, and Ethel Noriega, Monte Vista, Colorado; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Peterson, Wausakee, Karen Netzel, Marion, Glen (Nancy) Lundt, Manawa; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives; her fur-babies, cats, Toby and Neptune, and dog, Runa.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl, on Sept. 22, 2000; a son, Eric Lundt; brothers, James, Harold and Arthur Peterson; sister, Arlene (Richard) Wilson; and brothers-in-law, Richard Clayton and Richard Lundt.

Graveside committal and inurnment will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026, at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Caroline, with the Rev. Peter Krolow officiating.

The family would like to thank the hospice team, Sabrina, Jolene and Brianna, who helped us with Mom; also, Nina from Arc Angels for her assistance; and to Jane M., Cookie M. and Sue R. for visiting Mom — she really enjoyed the time you all spent with her.
