UW-Whitewater Zach Sherman, a native of Oconto, who is studying physical education at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, is a member of the Warhawk football team, which competed in the NCAA Division 3 Playoffs for the 19th time in school history after earning an at-large bid to the 32-team tournament. Sherman is one of 16 members of the Warhawk football team who were selected All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for the 2023 season.
