CWC all-conference football teams named
Officials with the Central Wisconsin Conference have announced the names of athletes named to the all-conference football teams. Pow wow coming to Shawano Community High School
The Shawano School District, in conjunction with its Title VI program, is having its first-ever pow wow Nov. 23 at the Shawano Community High School gymnasium, 220 County Road B. Doors open at 11 a.m., with grand entry at noon and finishing at 3 p.m.
Agencies awarded law enforcement grants
Area law enforcement agencies are the recipients of $135,000 in grants for extra traffic enforcement in their quest to deter seat belt, speeding and operating while intoxicated violations. Salvation Army seeks volunteers for bell ringing
The Salvation Army of Shawano County is in need of volunteers to ring bells during the Red Kettle Campaign, which runs from Nov. 15 through Christmas Eve. Bell ringers are needed at Charlie’s County Market, Qualheim’s True Value, The Mill in Bonduel and Walmart.

Barbara L. VanHulle, 90, Oconto, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024, with family by her side. Barb was born Aug. 27, 1934, in Oconto to the late Edmund and Celia (Belongia) Bourassa.
