The Shop on Main and the Oconto Area Chamber of Commerce is inviting families to join the festive fun at its Santa’s Visit event Dec. 21 from 10 a.m.

Gillett will hold its annual Christmas in the Park on Dec. 7 at Zippel Park, 150 W. McKenzie St. Activities will start at 10 a.m. with Santa’s workshop filled with crafts and vendor goods at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 101 W. Main St. Santa’s workshop will be open till 2:30 p.m. The church will also be having bucket raffles . Santa Claus is coming to Zippel Park in the Expo Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Wisconsin had 4.6 days suitable for fieldwork statewide for the week ending Nov. 17, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. Above normal temperatures continued throughout Wisconsin. Precipitation events were common in the southern and eastern parts of the state. The corn for grain harvest continued for late planted corn. Fall tillage continued when conditions allowed.
