Wisconsin had 1.6 days suitable for fieldwork statewide for the week ending April 6, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. Much of the state received rain, ice or snow during the week. While conditions were generally not favorable for fieldwork, some manure was applied where conditions allowed. Farmers were also preparing and maintaining tillage and planting equipment for the upcoming fieldwork.

The manager of Oconto Falls Municipal Utilities for the last decade plans to move across town to become operations manager of Oconto Electric Cooperative. Greg Kuhn told the city council April 8 that his first day in the new position is May 9.

A new park has been added to the Oconto Falls City Park System. After approval by the city council April 8, Michael McDermid Family Park covers 1.022 acres along the southern area of a retention pond between Van Buren and Cherry streets. Proceedings of April 7 • Brady Lee Boucher, 30, Oconto, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to possession of methamphetamine, two counts of felony bail jumping and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Feb. 20. Judge Michael Judge scheduled a pre-trial conference for May 22.

April 12 Bonduel 10, Weyauwega-Fremont 4 Bonduel traveled to Ashwaubenon to play Weyauwega-Fremont in a conference tilt, winning 10-4. The Bears trailed 4-3 after two innings but tied it on a Joe Felhofer base hit.

April 12 Washington County Invitational Pulaski golfers placed 19th among 55 teams April 11-12 at the Hartford Golf Course and Washington County Golf Course. The Red Raiders scored a 318 in the first round and 331 in the second round for a 649 total. Junior Brady Hayward set the pace for Pulaski with a 147 (72 on the first day and 75 on the second day). Next up was sophomore Bradin Schultz with a 165 (80 and 85).
