Gerald (Gerry) W. Vander Putten died peacefully Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. Born Aug. 18, 1942, in Shawano to R.J. and Agnes (Summers) Vander Putten, Gerry was a fun-loving, thoughtful and creative man who loved nature, travel, Native American culture and his dear family. He graduated from Shawano High School, University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and the Brown School of Broadcasting in Minneapolis.

Charles Rolland “Chuck” Helsinger Sr., 73, of Keshena, passed away on Nov. 9, 2015, at his home. Charles was born in Milwaukee on Nov. 14, 1941, the son of the late Florence (Heron) Helsinger. In July 1965, he was united in marriage to Mary Caldwell in Illinois. Chuck worked as an auto mechanic, but most recently was self-employed as a truck driver. He had a love for fast cars and enjoyed fixing them up.

Archie P. Huss, 80, of rural Tigerton, passed away Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at ThedaCare Medical Center in Shawano. Archie Peter Huss was born on May 22, 1935, in Kaukauna to Lester and Ellen (Aronoldussen) Huss. After high school, he entered the U.S. Army in 1952 and retired from the military in 1975. He served in both Korea and Vietnam. Archie was united in marriage on Feb. 2, 1975, to Magdalena K. Augesen in Ogden, Kansas.

Lorraine Ann Heger, 79, of Shawano, passed away on Monday, Nov. 9, 2015, in Neenah. Lorraine was born on Nov. 13, 1935, in the town of Grant to the late Herman and Hildegard (Voight) Bucher. On June 20, 1953, Lorraine was united in marriage to Paul A. Heger Jr. in Split Rock. She lived in Split Rock most of her life, moving to Shawano 20 years ago. Lorraine worked at Marion Plywood for 13 years.
