William Blythin, of Kiel, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015, at the age of 89. He was born on Sept. 5, 1926, in Strongsville, Ohio, to the late Judge Edward and Jane (Rankin) Blythin. Bill was a veteran of the U.S.

Willy D. “Bill” Baum, 76, of Florida, formerly of Shawano, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015. Willy was born in Shawano on June 19, 1939, to the late Willy O. and Ethel (Donaldson) Baum. He was raised and went to high school in Bowler from 1953-1957. While in school, he served as president of his class and on the student council, was part of Badger Boys State and graduated as class salutatorian.

After a long wonderful life filled with family, friends, gardening, boating, skiing and enjoying her home on the Wolf River, Adella Schenk Abbott passed away on Nov. 12, 2015, at Agrace Hospice Care in Madison. Adella graduated from Shawano High School and the Wisconsin School of Cosmetology in Green Bay, and owned Les Femmes Beauty Salon in Shawano.

Ervin Francis Mackowiak, 78, lifelong resident of the town of Belle Plaine, passed away on Nov. 12, 2015. Born on Oct. 4, 1937, he was the son of John and Wilhelmina (Dillenburg) Mackowiak. Ervin farmed the family farm for 52 years. In his earlier years, he enjoyed dancing and listening to polka music with his wife of 47 years.

Bernetta R. Nicolai, 86, of Shawano, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015, with her family at her side following a brief illness. The daughter of George and Lillie Prochaska was born on Nov. 16, 1928. On Nov. 6, 1948, she was united in marriage with C.F. Nicolai at St. Joseph Church in Oconto. He preceded her in death in July 2005.
