Ada N. Prochaska, 84, Suring, died Thursday morning, Dec. 24, 2015, at Woodland Village in Suring. She was born March 10, 1931, in the town of Breed to Albert and Eva (Way) Lemke. Ada grew up in the town of Breed, attended Mountain public schools and graduated from Oconto High School with the Class of 1949. On Jan. 13, 1950, she married Robert Prochaska. The couple lived in the Crivitz area for most of their married lives.

Marcella F. Klitzke, 99, of Oconomowoc, passed away on Dec. 18, 2015. She was born on May 25, 1916, the daughter of Robert and Elsie (nee Gandt) Klitzke in Gillett. Preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Dorothy Klitzke and Virginia Cannon. Surviving are several cousins and many friends. Marcella’s family moved to a farm on Silver Lake in Oconomowoc when she was a young girl.

Thomas S. “Tom” Neumann Sr., 63, entered Heaven and joined his wife, Gail, on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, with his loving family by his side. Tom was born on Feb. 5, 1952, to Felix and Kathryne (Mudzek) Neumann. He grew up in the Black Creek area where he also attended school. On April 25, 1970, he was united in marriage to the former Gail Balthazor. They resided in the township of Underhill where they raised their children and grandchildren.

Ernest Oscar Buchholz, 86, of Gillett, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at his home. The son of the late Ernest and Dora (Knaack) Buchholz was born Jan. 2, 1929, in the town of Underhill. He attended Mosling Grade School. Ernest married Ruby Johnson on June 30, 1956, in Suring. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Ernest worked for Gillett Cement for 10 years and later in the petroleum business for 30 years.

The Lunch Hour Book Discussion Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 11, in the meeting room at the Oconto Falls Community Library. Anyone who enjoys reading and discussing books and learning what others are reading is welcome to attend. Marie Judd, of Madison, and formerly of Oconto Falls, died Sunday morning, Dec. 27, 2015, at Oakwood Lutheran in Madison. She was born on Dec. 29, 1911, in Oconto to John and Christine (Shipla) Housner. On Jan. 12, 1934, she married Harvey Judd in Marinette. Marie lived all of her married life in Oconto Falls. Following the death of her husband, she moved to the Madison area to live closer to family.

Dec. 21 Deputies logged 29 incidents including the following: Fire — Authorities investigated a report of a bed on fire on Cross Street in Oconto with at least two people inside the home. Traffic Miscellaneous — Authorities investigated a report of a vehicle travelling north in the southbound lane on U.S.

An anonymous tip led to the arrest of a Pulaski man for the hit-and-run death of a pedestrian struck while walking along County Road S just west of Sobieski the night of Dec. 21. The body of George Birr, 51, was found in the ditch at about 7:43 a.m. Dec. 22, and authorities believe he was hit between 8 and 10 p.m. Dec. 21. Joe Anderson, 35, was taken into custody on Dec.

Early indications show one County Board supervisor will face opposition in the April 5 election and another will leave office. Terry Brazeau, who represents the town of Brazeau and part of Spruce, will face challenger Ryan Wendt for the District 27 seat. The district covers the town of Brazeau, where Wendt is town chairman, and part of Spruce, where Brazeau is chairman.
