Suspected purse snatcher in custody

Authorities arrested a 49-year-old woman suspected in a pair of purse-snatchings last week that targeted elderly drivers. Charges have not yet been filed, and one of the incidents is still under investigation, but the woman was taken into custody Tuesday on an arrest warrant when she showed up for an appointment at the Probation and Parole offices in Shawano. Acting Clintonville Mayor Lois Bressette has taken out papers and filed to run as a candidate for mayor in the April 2016 election. Newcomer Jonathan Bayless has taken out papers but has not yet filed them. Races are shaping up in several aldermanic districts. 2 more challengers sign up for County Board runs

Brandon J. Martin
Brandon James Martin, 30, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, in Appleton. Brandon was born in Shawano on May 5, 1985, the son of Douglas and Nola (Klosterman) Martin. On Sept. 23, 2014, Brandon was united in marriage to Shanell Boston in Beloit. He had a great sense of humor and loved playing jokes on people. He was a talented artist, and loved drawing and tattooing.

Donna J. Neosh
Donna Jean Neosh, 72, of Green Bay, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015, in Green Bay. Donna was born in Keshena on Nov. 11, 1943, the daughter of the late Mose and Edna (Shawanomitta) Neosh. She was born and raised in Keshena and lived in Chicago during her teens. In her 30s, she moved to Green Bay where she resided until her death. When Donna was younger, she had an interest in and followed politics, especially tribal politics.
