To the editor: I worked for Alan and Lori Andrus for over 28 years. I probably did every aspect of duties on their farms. You couldn’t find more dedicated farmers. Alan is usually up by 5 a.m. and works until 9 p.m. or later. He makes sure that people have their duties for the day: feeding, cleaning, milking, calving, planting or harvesting crops, taking care of calves, the sick cows.

To the editor: I wonder why ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN won’t tell you about the comments of MIT professor John Gruber, who just happens to be one of the main drafters of the Affordable Care Act. Check out Fox cable news or the Internet and view what he had to say about you! I’ll bet you don’t consider yourself as a “stupid voter” or “uninformed.” At least four different times on tape he refers to us in this manner.

Nora E. Schreiber, 99, of Shawano, went to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday evening, Nov. 17, 2014, at Maple Lane Health Care Center, with her family present. Nora was born Aug. 9, 1915, in the town of Waukechon, Shawano County, Wisconsin, a daughter of the late Gustave and Rachael (Dornfeldt) Reinke. She attended country schools in the town of Waukechon. On Feb. 25, 1936, she was united in marriage to Norman A.

When I look outside, I think I should be preparing for Christmas, not Thanksgiving. This all started several weeks ago when I sat in a medical clinic and heard Christmas music piping through their sound system. I was puzzled. I could understand if this was a store, but a clinic? Then a week or so later, I drove past a house that had a bunch of Christmas decorations outside.
