David G. Pranke Sr.

David G. Pranke Sr., 94, died on Monday, Nov. 7, 2022, at his home. David was born May 15, 1928, in Antigo, the son of George and Vera (Wickman) Pranke. On Sept. 13, 1952, David was united in marriage to Beverly Beck in St. Louis, Missouri. She preceded him in death on Oct. 30, 1988. David was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. David and his brother, Edwin, owned and operated Pranke Brothers Salvage Yard in the Town of Almon.
Arthur A. Bartels
Arthur Albert Bartels, 68, of Northbrook, Illinois, is now at peace as of Oct. 31, 2022. His three daughters, Sarah Kass, Keri Wenzel and Martha Risk, will forever remember his love and enthusiasm for life. He was a loving grandfather of six. Art took great pride in building his career as a key grip in the motion picture industry and mentoring many along the way.
Betty Jean Forrest
Betty Jean Forrest, 92, of Mountain, passed away on Friday, Nov. 4, 2022. Jean was born March 25, 1930, to the late Elijah and Esther (Cable) Spencer. Jean married Leslie Forrest on Dec. 28, 1946. Jean and Les enjoyed 49 years sharing their lives together. In her early years, Jean was an avid bowler, golfer, camper and snowmobiler. She thoroughly enjoyed the Canadian camping and fishing trips with her husband, Les.
Daniel “Dan” Hugo Golen
Daniel “Dan” Hugo Golen, who was born July 7, 1942, passed away on Nov. 4, 2022, at the age of 80. After graduating from Shawano High School, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy for six years as a radioman. He married his beloved wife, Kay Wilson, in 1967 at Christ Lutheran Church in Hintz.
Donald Ahlborg
Donald Ahlborg, 96, of Oconto Falls, passed away peacefully on Nov. 5, 2022, at Country Villa in Pulaski. Donald was born on May 31, 1926 in Oconto Falls, son of Louis and Louise (Brown) Ahborg. He was the middle of three siblings. On Aug. 20, 1955, he married Jeanne (Moede) Ahlborg in Oconto Falls. They were married for 65 years. Growing up, Donald learned the value of hard work and had a great appreciation for the outdoors.
Charlotte M. Thomack
Charlotte M. Thomack, 64, of the Town of Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022. Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home and Crematory, Clintonville.
Michael D. Buss
Michael Dennis Buss was born Dec. 8, 1944, in Eland to Anton and Victoria Buss. He entered heaven on Oct. 18, 2022, at the age of 77. Michael resided in Plover in the home he took great pride in for 45 years with his two beloved dogs, Maggie and Bella. Michael was the youngest of five children and spent his early years growing up on his family’s dairy farm, where he developed a lifelong passion for hunting and the outdoors.
