Naomi D. Kassube

Naomi D. Kassube, 81, of Wittenberg, died on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022, at Homme Home of Wittenberg under the care of Compassus Hospice. Naomi was born on April 29, 1941, in Minot, North Dakota, the daughter of Erich and Dorothy (Jackson) Klaus. On Dec. 27, 1959, Naomi married LaVerne Kassube. They later divorced. Naomi worked as a cashier and manager at Wittenberg Mobil for many years.
Leonard C. Heise Sr.
Leonard Charles Heise Sr., 91, of Suring, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, Oct. 14, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 25, 1931, in Breed to the late Arthur and Clara (Zimmerman) Heise. On June 25, 1955, Leonard married his soulmate, Delores Esther Wolf.
Carl A. Williams
Carl Arthur Williams was born March 11, 1940, in the Town of Bartelme. He passed away Oct. 4, 2022, at the Veterans Home in King after an extended fight against cancer. He was cremated and there will be a celebration of his life at the American Legion Post 431 in Three Lakes at 2 p.m. Oct. 22. Be sure to wear your best trucker hat to honor Carl’s memory with his family and friends.
Larry J. Woodke
Larry J. Woodke, 66, of Gillett, passed away on Friday, Oct. 7, 2022. Larry was born in Shawano on Nov. 19, 1955, to the late Robert and Mary (Jarock). Larry graduated from Gillett High School with the Class of 1974. Larry married Connie Chaltry on Sept. 15, 1995, at Bethel Lutheran Church. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, spending time with his boys and hunting and fishing trips to Wyoming and Canada.
Linda A. Hanley
Linda A. Hanley, 61, of Underhill, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday evening, Oct. 9, 2022, at ThedaCare Medical Center-Shawano. Linda was born on Feb. 16, 1961, in Los Angeles, California, a daughter of Bethany (Warren) Griffiths and the late Donald Griffiths. She attended school in California, and graduated from Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo County, California.
Edna L. Christensen-Vonck (nee Schoenebeck)
Edna L. Christensen-Vonck (nee Schoenebeck), age 107, passed away Oct. 8, 2022, at Eden Vista Assisted Living. Edna was born Sept. 8, 1915, to Walter and Lulu Schoenebeck. On Jan. 10, 1934, she married Valdemar Christensen.
Eugene “Gene” P. Fenn
Eugene “Gene” P. Fenn, 89, passed away Friday, Oct. 7, 2022. A former resident of Seymour and Shawano, he moved to Oakdale, California, in 2011 to be closer to his daughter. Born Oct. 20, 1932, in Green Bay to the late Earl and Lois (Echtner) Fenn, Gene grew up in Seymour where he graduated from Seymour High School in 1950, then attended business school in Green Bay for 2½ years.
