The Gillett School Board has authorized the sale of a strip of land to the state Department of Transportation for the reconstruction of state Highway 22. The DOT is planning to rebuild 1.08 miles of Highway 22 through the city in 2026 between Finnegan Lake Road and the intersection with state Highway 32.
