Mouth agape, looking up, I exclaimed to my husband, “Listen to that!” One day early spring, we were working at buttoning up our sap season then and spending one of the last afternoons in the woods — the sun winking between sparse clouds, promising warmer days ahead. Breezeless, the woods was tranquil yet the birds in the trees were going crazy — singing up a storm like they were holding a concert just for us.
Ingold has counsel again in homicide case
After months of searching, two attorneys have been hired to represent Shawano resident Michael Ingold in his murder case. On June 30, attorneys Albert Moustakis and Kelli Thompson appeared remotely before Shawano-Menominee Circuit Court Judge William Kussel Jr. and requested 90 days to review the case file and get discovery evidence. The court scheduled a status conference for 3 p.m. Sept.

Concordia University Wisconsin Reece Stoltenow, a Bonduel resident and Concordia University Wisconsin student, has received a LeRoy C. Schmidt 150-hour scholarship for $3,000 from the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants Educational Foundation. The scholarship is named after former WICPA Executive Director LeRoy C. Schmidt, who was executive director from 1990-2006.
