Dress-up days are Cross Gender Day on Monday, Twin Day on Tuesday, Blast from the Past (dress up old-school) on Wednesday, School Spirit Day on Thursday and Color Wars on Friday. Joan Shirley Korth, 79, of Shawano, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at Oak Haven. Born on Feb. 4, 1934, in Gresham, she was the daughter of the late Anton and Mathilda (Hoffman) Lechterman. On Nov. 16, 1957, she was united in marriage to Roger M. Korth in the town of Richmond. The couple owned and operated Korth’s General Store. Joan also worked as a cook at Heartland Health Care Center in Shawano. She was a member of the St.

Chad E. Welhouse, 38, passed away peacefully at home after a courageous five-year battle with lung cancer on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013. He was born on Jan. 15, 1975, to Dennis and Nancy Welhouse and resided in Hollandtown. Chad graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 1997 and worked for 15 years as a facility manager at RR Donnely (Banta).
