Shawano golfers take second in Peshtigo

Bay North Conference Mini-Meet #4

Three Shawano golfers placed in the top 10 as the Hawks finished second at Vernon Hills Golf Course in Peshtigo.

Lauren Seehafer, Mya Coffey and Hailey Hawkinson each scored 50. Alyssa Singer scored 53.

The Hawks tallied 203, and Bonduel scored 237.

Bonduel’s Gage Anderson wins race in Omro

Omro Invitational

Bonduel’s Gage Anderson won the boys 5,000-meter cross country run to lead the Bears to a first-place finish in Omro.

Bonduel tallied 44 points to best the other three competitors.

For the girls, Lillian Burrack placed second for Bonduel. The team collected 110 points and placed fourth among five teams.

Panthers place third in triangular

Wednesday, Aug. 26

Little Chute Triangular

Oconto Falls scored a 214 and placed third at the North Eastern Conference Little Chute Triangular at Mid-Vallee Golf Course in De Pere.

Riley Borkovec led the Panthers with a 46, tied for third best on the day.

Oconto Falls: Riley Borkovec 46, Chloe Anastasopoulos 53, Lilly Wagner 57, Jadyn Saari 58.

Bears go 2-2 at home tournament

Tuesday, Aug. 25

Bonduel 2, Suring 0

The Bears topped the Eagles 25-17 and 25-16.

Bonduel 2, Crandon 0

After bumping off Suring, Bonduel defeated Crandon in two games with scores of 25-14 and 25-15.

Sevastopol 2, Bonduel 0

Bonduel fell short of three wins in a row on their home court, losing 25-16 and 25-23 to Sevastopol.

Pulaski soccer ties in season opener

Pulaski 1, Fox Valley Lutheran 1

The Red Raiders and Foxes battled to a 1-1 draw in the season opener for both teams on the Fox Valley Lutheran home field.

Pulaski took a 1-0 lead in the 26th minute courtesy of a goal by Walker Wozniak. Daenen Kehoe has the assist.

Pulaski splits second day in Wausau

Tuesday, Aug. 25

The second day of a tournament in Wausau resulted in an even split for the Red Raiders.

Pulaski defeated Wausau East 6-1 but lost 6-1 to Stevens Point.

Riley Hartman, at No. 4 singles, had the only Pulask win against Stevens Point.

Bay Port rolled past Shawano 7-0, and D.C. Everest swept the doubles matches en route to a 5-2 win over the Hawks.

Shawano, Witt-Birn swim teams compete at relays

The Wittenberg-Birnamwood swim team placed fifth and Shawano was seventh at the Bay Conference Relays Meet on Aug. 25 in Sturgeon Bay.

The Chargers earned 60 points, including a first place in the 100-yard freestyle relay; second place in the 200-yard medley relay, the 450-yard freestyle relay and the 200-yard butterfly relay; and third place in the 200-yard reverse medley relay.
