GB Cats Invite

Marion/Tigerton’s boys and girls track team won a six-team meet in Bowler, with Gresham/Bowler teams placing second.

The Marion/Tigerton boys scored 182 points, followed by Gresham/Bowler with 83, Menominee Nation in fourth with 67 and Wolf River Lutheran in Shawano in fifth with 56.

Bears softball team shuts out Warhawks

Bonduel 18, Weyauwega-Fremont 0

Bonduel shut out Weyauwega-Fremont 18-0, after scoring 15 runs in the first inning of what turned out to be a three-inning game.

Mary Margelofsky hit 2-for-2 with a double and three RBIs. Allison Zernicke was also 2-for-2, collecting a double and one RBI.

Jayla Reinke, Marlie Hartmann and Juliana Jacobs each had two RBIs.

Chargers crush Wolves on baseball diamond

Wittenberg-Birnamwood 22, Manawa 1

Wittenberg-Birnamwood batters pounded out 16 hits, and Manawa committed six errors as the Chargers crushed the Wolves 22-1.

The Chargers scored three times in the first inning, broke the game open with nine runs in the second, and added four in the third and six in the fourth. Manawa’s only run came in the top of the fifth inning.

Shawano soccer team wins season opener

Pulaski 0, Cedarburg 0

In their first game of the season, the Pulaski girls varsity soccer team took a trip to Cedarburg to play the No. 8 ranked team in Division 2.

Alina Harnowski had the only shot on goal for the Red Raiders, and goalkeeper Tatum Wentland had four saves in her first-ever start.

Golf season gets underway

Bay Conference Mini-Meet #1

Shawano golfers opened their season by placing sixth out of seven teams at Westridge Golf Course in Neenah.

The Hawks tallied a 193. Winneconne won with 151.

Seniors Duane Gristeau-Blanche and T.J. Smith led Shawano, each with a 45. Junior Brayden Mead scored 49, and sophomore Collin Dieck had a 54.

Pulaski boys lacrosse team loses 18-2

Kimberly 18, Pulaski 2

Pulaski’s boys lost 18-2 to Kimberly in a Bay Valley Conference matchup.

So far this season, Everett Just leads the Red Raiders with four goals, and Reid Bauer has two.
