Christine D. Brehm, age 84, of the Town of Grant, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at her home. Christine “Chris” Dewella Brehm was born on Dec. 10, 1940, in Janesville, the youngest daughter of 10 children born to the late Herbert and Helen (Fischer) Hanke. Arthur Buelter
Arthur George “Art” Buelter, 85, of Bowler, died on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at The Pines Post-Acute and Memory Care. Art was born on April 21, 1939, in Shawano County, the son of George and Agnes (Steffen) Buelter. On June 6, 1964, Art was united in marriage to Rita Gangler. She preceded him in death on Dec. 25, 2021. Art worked as a ranger for the Bowler DNR.
John W. Pingel
John W. Pingel, age 84, of Bowler, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Birch Hill Health Services, Shawano. John William Pingel was born May 28, 1940, in the Town of Morris, son to the late Roy F. and Marie E. (Olson) Pingel. He attended Bowler schools and joined the workforce soon after. He moved to the Milwaukee area and later to Indiana where he worked for the Ford Motor Co.

Rosemary Kalbes, 84, of Oconto Falls, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 4, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born on Jan. 14, 1941, in Milwaukee, Rosemary dedicated her life to her family. Rosemary’s greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
Velma Aprill
Velma Lorraine (Birr) Aprill, 93, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025, with family by her side. She was born on Feb. 6, 1932, to the late Elmer and Ruth Birr of Morgan. She graduated from Oconto Falls High School with the class of 1950. Following high school, she worked for the Oconto Falls Hospital as a nurse’s assistant for a period of time. Velma married Donald Aprill on June 14, 1952.
