William Fisher

William “Bill” John Fisher, 83, Gillett, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025, with his family by his side after a battle with dementia. Bill was born Dec. 13, 1941, in Kohler to the late John and Alma (Siech) Fisher. Bill attended Valley Line School and graduated with the class of 1960 at Gillett High School. When he was young, they lived in Sheboygan, while his dad worked at Kohler Co.
Carol M. Pytleski
Carol M. Pytleski, 99, passed away peacefully Friday, March 28, 2025. Carol was born Feb. 15, 1926, in Lena to the late Alton and Mayme (Gehrke) Goodell. On June 12, 1948, Carol married William (Bill) Pytleski. They farmed in the Town of Spruce until retirement in 1979. Carol graduated from Lena High School with the class of 1944.
Patricia Herning
Patricia Herning of Oconto Falls passed away on March 14, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. She was born Oct. 3, 1952, to Donald and Irene Schlise. Patricia grew up in Stone Bank, on a dairy farm with her two older brothers and younger sister. She learned the meaning of taking pride in her work no matter how small the task. In 1972, she married John (Jack) Herning and moved to Sobieski and later to Oconto Falls.
Lois Mae Malchow
It is with both sadness and celebration that we announce the passing of Lois Mae Malchow, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, who entered eternal rest on March 28, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on May 19, 1938, in Milwaukee, Lois lived a life rich with love, creativity and community. Lois grew up in Antigo, before embarking on a beautiful journey when she married Kenneth Malchow on July 21, 1957.
Robert B. Metzler
Robert B. Metzler, 97, of Green Bay, formerly of Oconto Falls, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Woodside Senior Community. Born on July 8, 1927, in Oconto Falls to Anton and Desirea Metzler, Bob spent his early years in his hometown, where he attended St. Anthony Catholic Grade School before graduating from Oconto Falls High School with the class of 1945.
Alan Kaiser
Alan Francis Kaiser bravely fought lung disease for five years before passing peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, on March 15, 2025. Alan was born April 5, 1960, to Gerald and Carol (Baake) Kaiser. The oldest of their five children, he worked alongside his siblings on their family farm. Al spoke of his family and their memories there and beyond fondly and often. After marrying Laura Williquette on Aug.
Ann Agnes (Ploeger) Cayo
On Saturday, March 8, 2025, Ann Agnes (Ploeger) Cayo peacefully went home to Jesus, with family at her side. Ann was born Aug. 3, 1936, in Elderon to Gilbert and Cecelia (Verkuilen) Ploeger, at home on the family’s farm. She graduated from Wittenberg High School in 1954. After graduation, the young lady went to experience city life in Milwaukee. Finding it not her cup of tea, she ended up settling in the Valley.
