Robert “Bob” Kummerer, 83, of Tigerton, passed away Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at the Homme Home of Wittenberg. Robert Albert Kummerer was born on April 3, 1930, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Frank and Mary (McGlaughlin) Kummerer. Following high school, he entered the U.S. Air Force and served for 22½ years, until retiring in 1970. He was united in marriage in July 1955 to Kathryn L. Martin in Danville, Ill.

John A. Erickson, 59, Wittenberg, died on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born on June 13, 1954, in Wausau, the son of the late Martin and Genevieve (Meverden) Erickson. John owned and operated Erickson Frame Repair, Wittenberg, and was also employed at the former Wittenberg Ford garage. He enjoyed flying remote control model airplanes that he built.

Frederick William Lemke, 83, of Gresham, passed away on Oct. 7, 2013, at his home. Fred was born in Gresham to Fred O. and Martha Lemke on June 20, 1930. He was married to Janice Stoehr of Gresham on April 21, 1954, until her death in 1980. Fred married Betty Schwerke on Dec. 26, 1992. In the early 1950s, he served in the United States Army in allied-occupied Germany.

Shawano Community High School senior Courtney Baumann missed a chance to advance to the WIAA state golf meet on Tuesday.
