Cyber Monday keeps delivery service hopping
Two Mondays in a row with single-digit temperatures to start the work week did not make for smiling faces along the path around the Falls, as calendar pages were flipped to December. Technically, there were to be another three weeks before the first day of winter, but sometimes Mother Nature chooses to ignore the calendar. That second single-digit Monday was predicted to be a hot day for online sales.
Rodgers proves he’s hero on and off the field
I’ll confess that I am not a fan of the “One call, that’s all” television commercials for the Gruber Law Offices in Milwaukee.

Gillett falls in opener against Bonduel
Adam Werner’s 18 points were not enough to lift a shorthanded Gillett Secondary School boys basketball team over Bonduel in both teams’ season opener Saturday in Bonduel. Gillett lost 44-33 after keeping the game close until the final minutes of the game. “They’re (Bonduel) a good team, good program,” first-year Gillett coach Jeff Cross said. “I think my guys played them tough. I don’t want to take anything away from my guys, either.

Traditions and camaraderie of deer hunting
Hunting season at our house is another holiday, thrown in there just before Thanksgiving, but from personal experience, I know it’s something the men have in the back of their heads all year long. I guess that’s pretty typical, when it comes right down to it. This year, I opted not to bother my guys by tagging along with them out to the woods. The Sunday of opening weekend brought fog, rain and just plain yuck, and I couldn’t muster the energy.
Nonprofit Profile
The Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign is under way in Shawano County. Many opportunities remain for people to not only contribute, but to volunteer. This is the fourth year that the Women of Today are coordinating the event. “With the help of the community we have been fortunate enough to increase our totals each year,” said Sue Dionne, a member of the group and kettle coordinator. The bell ringing got under way on Nov.
