Though not a keeper, Packers season still memorable

How does one sum up the 2015-16 Green Bay Packers? The television announcers mused on how one would begin to write up last weekend’s divisional round game in Arizona, where the Packers with no timeouts covered 96 yards over the final 55 seconds to send the game into overtime. Robert L. Hoffman
Robert Louis Hoffman, 62, was stricken at his Plentywood, Montana, home early Saturday morning, Jan. 16, and was dead on arrival at Sheridan Memorial Hospital. Bob was born on Feb. 17, 1953, in Shawano, the eldest of four sons of Okel and Marjorie (Gentz) Hoffman.

Glenn A. Curtis
Glenn A. Curtis, 94, Shawano, died on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016, at Shawano Health Services, Shawano. He was born on Dec. 13, 1921, in the town of Morris, Shawano County, the son of the late Donald and Augusta (Bublitz) Curtis. Glenn was baptized at the Tilleda Lutheran Church and later in life was a member of the United Methodist Church, Wittenberg. On Aug. 22, 1942, Glenn was united in marriage to Lola Breitenfeldt.

Tribe exploring use of former SMC
The Menominee Indian Tribe is considering acquiring the old Shawano Medical Center with an eye on converting the former hospital into apartments, classrooms or some other use.
