Bonduel administrator search down to 2

After a round of interviews this week, the Bonduel School Board has narrowed its candidates for district administrator down to two finalists who will be interviewed again on Monday. Bonduel High School Principal Patrick Rau and Coleman School District Superintendent Brian Walters are the two still in the running to replace Peter Behnke. Area counties used homes cited for abuse
Shawano County’s attorney says a published report that the county continued placing sick and indigent people in assisted-living homes even though the facilities had a history of operational concerns is incorrect. Staffers at four facilities owned by Suamico-based Country Healthcare Inc.

Hawks aiming higher
The veteran Shawano Community High School girls soccer team is looking to improve on its third-place finish in the Bay Conference last year. “It depends how we play against the top teams,” coach Bob Croschere said. Bonduel boys win 8-team meet
Hunter Berry and Isaac Palmer both won two events as the Bonduel High School boys track and field team won an eight-team home meet on a warm and windy Thursday. Bonduel finished with 160.5 points. Almond-Bancroft (99.3) was second. Wedding quilt blues
It seems like I have been puttering around on the latest wedding quilt forever. In reality, it is only a little over two months, which is not unreasonable. The pattern is from a wall hanging, and I made four of them, planning to sew them together to form the quilt. The blocks were scary, as I had to do applique and some other things that I have rarely done. I only started making fancy quilts nine years ago.
