Pulaski lacrosse teams searching for wins

April 20 Pulaski’s boys lacrosse team lost 18-2 to Sun Prairie in a non-conference game. The Red Raiders scored both goals in the second period, while allowing Sun Prairie to score eight in the first, three in the second, six in the third and one in the fourth. Sturgeon Guard back on duty at Wolf River

‘The Wolf Gift’ natural winner for Anne Rice
This week I revisited one of my favorite authors. Anne Rice. I’m not sure when she published her Wolf Gift Chronicles, but I discovered book one, “The Wolf Gift,” on Infosoup. I must say, it was pure Anne Rice; intriguing but extremely wordy. The Golding family has called San Francisco home for generations and done well. This generation includes Grace, Phil, James and Reuben. Phil is a poet and philosopher with a warm and dreamy outlook on life.

Gillett board considers hiring an SRO
Members of the Gillett School Board want to see some numbers before they commit to hiring a school resource officer to interact with students. HSHS names new Wisconsin president
Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) has announced that Robert J. Erickson, MS, has been named HSHS Wisconsin market president and CEO. Erickson is scheduled to begin on April 29, and succeeds Brian Charlier, who retired in March. In addition to his market role, Erickson will also serve as president and CEO for HSHS St. Vincent Hospital and HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center in Green Bay.

Former NASCAR driver coming to Shawano Speedway

Bonduel, Pulaski win both ends of doubleheaders with huge shutouts
April 20 Three Lakes/Phelps 6, Wittenberg-Birnamwood 2 Wittenberg-Birnamwood 9, Clintonville 5 Wittenberg-Birnamwood went 1-1 in its home quadrangular. The Chargers lost the opener 6-2 to Three Lakes/Phelps but bounced Clintonville 9-5 in game two. Against the Truckers, Brieleigh Ladika hit 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.

Pulaski tops Slinger, Menasha
April 20 Waupaca 2, Shawano 1 The Hawks battled hard in a non-conference game against the Waupaca Comets but came up short, 2-1. At halftime, the Hawks trailed 1-0. Trinity Popelka scored the Hawks’ only goal in the 51st minute, tying the game 1-1.

Shawano Woman’s Club fashion show coming in May
The 18th annual Shawano Woman’s Club Fashion Show and Spring Fling will take place May 9 at The Gathering, 2600 E. Richmond St., Shawano. The event starts at 10:30 a.m. with a cash bar, followed by a luncheon at noon.
