Short plays in spotlight at Oconto Falls High School
The Oconto Falls High School Drama Club is hosting “A Spring Showcase of Short Plays” at 7 p.m. April 26 and 27 at the Falls Area Performing Arts Center inside the school, 210 N. Farm Road. Shawano boys take first place in Manawa
April 18 Manawa Invitational Shawano’s boys finished first and the girls finished second at the Manawa Invitational. Taking first for the boys were Ethan Onesti in the 800-meter run, Andon Chelberg in the 1,600-meter run, Will Chelberg in the 3,200-meter run and Connor Chelberg in the high jump. Three relay teams also earned first place.
Resch wins big at Rosholt track meet
April 19 Back the Track Area track and field athletes grabbed their share of first-place finishes at the Back the Track event in Rosholt. For the boys, Bonduel’s Ryan Westrich won the 100-meter dash, with Suring’s Quinn Thomson placing second. Westrich also won the discus, with Wittenberg-Birnamwood’s Landen Schmidt placing third. Bears clean house at Whistling Straits
April 19 Whistling Straits Bonduel captured first place and four golfers placed within the top five scores, including the medalist spot, at Whistling Straits in Sheboygan. The Bears scored a 326. Colin Margelofsky was the best on the course with a 76.
