Trump has attracted some good allies

I try to avoid writing about politics and government here, because I believe the world could use a lot less of each. I try to focus on the plain fact that our lives are better when we stop looking for the right ruler and work on running our own lives.

Dejon Lou Polzin
Dejon Lou (Goddake) Polzin, 92, passed away Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, at Care Partners Assisted Living in Clintonville, where she had resided for nearly four years. Born in Bowler on June 13, 1932, Dejon was the youngest child of the late Evan and Gladys (Cronce) Goddake. She attended Bowler schools and was very involved in school and community activities, including 4-H and Future Homemakers of America.

Hawks go 1-1 at Mosinee Tournament
Sept. 7 Mosinee Tournament Shawano 5, Mosinee 1 The Hawks opened action at the Mosinee Tournament with a 5-1 win over their hosts. Ruben De Gaspari scored two goals for Shawano. Also scoring were Warner Beyer, Grayson Swedberg and Brayden Mead.

Sept. 5 Pulaski 1, Hortonville 0 Pulaski scored one goal 22 minutes into the first half, and that was all that mattered in the 1-0 non-conference win over Hortonville. Maddox McKeefry scored on an assist from Nolan Pratt. The game was called at the start of the second half due to severe weather. By rule, since one half was completed, the result became official. Josh Roth made three saves in goal for Pulaski (4-0-1).
