Randolph J. Elbe, formerly of Gillett, passed away on Sept. 4, 2024, in Sacramento, California. Randy was born on May 19, 1948, in Shawano to the late Kenneth and OraBelle (Kobs) Elbe. Randy attended Gillett High School graduating with the class of 1966. He attended Wartburg College in Iowa before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force. While in the Air Force, Randy was part of the Air Force Drum and Bugle Corps.

Thomas Allen “Turtle” Steinke was called up to the Lord on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024, in Appleton at 72 years of age. Thomas Allen “Turtle” Steinke lived in Pella. Tom was born on July 21, 1952, in Shawano to Allen “Swampy” Steinke and Mary Ann (Schmidt) Steinke. Tom attended Leopolis Grade School and graduated from Marion High School with the class of 1970.

All middle and high school students are invited to the Fifth Quarter Party at Hillside Assembly, 5890 State Highway 22, Gillett, after Gillett Secondary School’s homecoming game. Ernest “Ernie” J. Bushman, 97, of Galloway, died peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Ernie was born on Aug. 27, 1927, on a small dairy farm in the Town of Franzen, near Galloway, the son of Joseph and Mary (Bluma) Bushman. Ernie was drafted into the United States Army on Nov.
