Sex offender registry violation A man required to register in two states as a convicted sex offender was charged in Shawano County this week with two counts of violating the Sex Offender Registry in Wisconsin. An arrest warrant was filed Monday for Aaron J. Hendrickson, 32, whose last known address was in Minnesota. Hendrickson was convicted in Shawano County of second-degree sexual assault of a child in December 1998.

The Shawano Common Council on Wednesday forwarded to the Plan Commission a proposal to create a new tax increment finance (TIF) district aimed at spurring development along East Green Bay Street.
