The Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School wrestling team took control of the Central Wisconsin Conference with a 52-13 win Thursday over Bonduel. “Wittenberg-Birnamwood has a very, very good team,” Bonduel coach Chris Rank said. “They’ve been handling the conference the last several years; this year is probably the best team that they’ve had. The Bonduel High School wrestling team took time before Thursday night’s big meet against Wittenberg-Birnamwood to honor three people who have made major contributions to the wrestling program over the years. Herb and Marlys Tauchen and former wrestler Jason Krueger were inducted into the school’s wrestling hall of fame.. Five of the six sons of Herb and Marlys Tauchen, who have 10 children and 24 grandchildren, were wrestlers at BHS.

A Keshena woman is facing a felony charge of reckless endangerment after allegedly trying to stab her mother, but only managing to wound herself during a domestic disturbance in Shawano on Monday. Judith Ann Selle, 70, of Bowler, passed away Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, in Pulaski. Born on May 13, 1943, in Birnamwood, she was the daughter of the late Ross and Jean (Locke) Slater. On May 29, 1964, she was united in marriage to Charles M. Selle. Judith loved spending time with her family and took great pride in raising her beloved children.

Thomas A. Rudesill Jr., 78, of Gresham, peacefully passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 19, 1935, in the town of Red Springs, he was the second son born to the late Thomas and Imelda (Miller) Rudesill Sr. After graduating from high school, Tom enlisted with the United States Army and served his country for two years.

Daniel D. Dedolph, 71, of Tigerton, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Dan was born July 14, 1942, in Tigerton to Eugene and Ione (Cannon) Dedolph. In 1960, he graduated from Tigerton High School. He was united in marriage on March 3, 1962, to Sharla M. Ladwig. The couple moved to Slinger, where they raised their family.
