Loren Michael Grosskopf, 77, of Cody, Wyoming, passed away July 10, 2026.
Loren was born March 18, 1949, in Shawano, to Lowell and Shirley Grosskopf, the oldest of seven children. He graduated from Bowler High School, attended UW-River Falls and University of Wyoming earning his CPA. Known as Mike growing up, he changed to Loren after college.
Loren married Jeannie Hapke, and together they had three children, Cristina (Tina), Todd and Thomas. They divorced, and he married Cindy Raver, the love of his life.
Wyoming became home with all the adventure and hunting and fishing opportunities. He traveled the world on hunting and fishing adventures. His trophy room reflected his success. His high school friend, Rich Onesti, accompanied him to Greenland, his sons and good friend, Joe, on many other trips. Cindy and Loren took many trips, enjoying music. Above all, Loren was devoted to his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Grosskopf; his sons, Todd (Jessica) Grosskopf of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Thomas (Brooke) Grosskopf of Billings, Montana; his grandchildren, Morgan (Ryan) Rulevich and Alex Rulevich; his brothers, Keith (Kay) Grosskopf, Larsen; Scott (Julie) Grosskopf and Larry Grosskopf, New London; his sister, Sherry Grosskopf, Neenah; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Loren was preceded in death by his parents, Lowell and Shirley Grosskopf; his beloved daughter, Tina; his sister, Linda; and his brother, Steve.
Loren ended every Christmas card with “Every man dies, not every man lives.” He lived by this motto.
A celebration of Loren’s life will be held at a later date.
