Thanks to a solid day on the mound by Connor Rosin, the Bonduel American Legion baseball team beat Manawa 6-1 to advance in the Class A Region 3 tournament Thursday in Marion. “They finally came to play,” Bonduel coach Jason Luepke said. “All year long I told them this is what we play for.” Rosin held Manawa to just one run on five hits in seven innings, striking out eight and walking one. “Connor was right on, again,” Luepke said.

The Green Bay Packers found themselves once again NFC North Division champions last season, if only by an Aaron Rodgers touchdown pass to Randall Cobb. The Packers struggled without Rodgers for much of the season and only climbed back on top thanks to the help of division rivals the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions, who missed many opportunities to eliminate the Packers from contention. William M. Pyawasay Sr., 89, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014, in Keshena. William was born in Keshena on Nov. 27, 1924, to the late Mitchell and Pauline (LaFrambois) Pyawasay.
