Nora E. Schreiber, 99, of Shawano, went to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday evening, Nov. 17, 2014. A celebration of the life of Nora Schreiber will be held on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014, at 3 p.m. at the Peace Church in Shawano. Pastor Marty Black will officiate. Kenneth E. Rosenow, 82, of Shawano, passed away peacefully on Dec. 2, 2014. Ken was born on Jan. 28, 1932, in Belle Plaine to the late Edwin J. and Margaret (Wing) Rosenow. He graduated from Shawano High School in 1950 and was proud to be a member of the school’s championship track relay team. On June 2, 1956, Ken was united in marriage to Marcalene Ewald at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Marion.

Robert “Bob” Roberts, 85, of Shawano, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014. Born on April 26, 1929, in Stevens Point, he is the son of the late Anton and Agnes (Przybylski) Wroblewski. He attended St. Stanislaus Grade School and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1947. Bob graduated from Coyme Technical Institute in Chicago, specializing in electronics. On Dec. 27, 1952, Bob was united in marriage to Violet C. Patoka in Amherst.

Marion M. Krueger, 95, Green Bay, formerly of Pulaski, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014. She was born March 19, 1919, to August and Minnie (Eckert) Kallies. Marion married Arnold Krueger. Arnold and Marion ran a family dairy farm. He preceded her in death.

Lawrence “Larry” Albert, 75, of rural Marion passed away Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, at Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah. Lawrence George Albert was born on Feb. 16, 1939, in Milwaukee to George and Marcella (Plaster) Albert. He went to school in Milwaukee but spent every summer by his grandparents in Marion. Larry was united in marriage on Sept. 16, 1960 to Nancy J. Hoefs at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Wauwatosa.

Gov. Scott Walker and the Forest County Potawatomi have signed a compact amendment that would formally require the state to ensure the tribe receives payments for any losses its Milwaukee casino might suffer if the Menominee Nation opens a competing facility in Kenosha. A trio of arbitrators handed the amendment to the state and Potawatomi last month, according to the Wisconsin Department of Administration and the tribe.
