An Abrams woman has been charged with first degree reckless homicide for her involvement in the heroin overdose of her boyfriend last summer, the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. Tiffany A. Gerrits, 22, was arrested March 4 for allegedly supplying heroin to her boyfriend, Donald J. Hudson, who was 21 when he died of a drug overdose on Aug. 29, 2014.

The construction of a law enforcement center in Oconto looks to be a half-million dollars over budget, causing the county to label some design aspects as alternatives before sending the project out to bid. On Thursday, the two committees overseeing the construction project learned costs have surpassed the budgeted $30 million by $475,700.
