The team finished 17-13 last year, compiling a 6-8 record in the FRV North Division, and finished second in its regional tourney.
Oconto Falls is 2-2 to start the 2015 season and 1-1 in the FRV-North.
“We will pitch well, play a very solid defense and will compete,” Oconto Falls coach Chris Hillberg said.

Panthers’ Stoinski ties for 37th in D2
Oconto Falls senior Jacob Stoinski shot scores of 89 and 90 to tie for 37th among 48 competitors at the WIAA Division 2 state golf tournament June 8 and 9 at University Ridge Golf Course in Verona.
Adam Miller, of Lodi, won the individual title with scores of 71 and 73 on the par-72 course.
Stoinski qualified for state by placing third, with a round of 75, at the Freedom sectional at Irish Waters Golf C
The River Island Golf Course board of directors hopes to add nine holes to the Oconto Falls course within the next few years.
River Island is a nine-hole golf course, with the option of 18 holes if golfers use the alternative tee boxes and complete the course a second time.

The Shawano American Legion baseball team will rely on pitching depth to try advancing in this year’s postseason.
Last year, two losses to Oconto Falls in the regional concluded Shawano’s season. Shawano lost to Oconto Falls in the opening round, then a win against Mosinee setup a rematch, which Oconto Falls won.
“The first-round loss was a very good game,” Shawano coach Will Gillis said. “Both pitchers had double-digit strikeouts.
The first big event of the 2015 race season at Shawano Speedway is upon us with Havoc on the Half Mile.
The Late Model division will battle for a $2,000 top prize and a $15,000 total payout. The race will be 40 laps and feature 28 cars to start.
Another item of note is that the Late Models also have time trials, which were part of the weekly show through 1987, when they were dropped from the program.

William Przybylski, 91, Pulaski and formerly of Green Valley, died peacefully Friday morning, June 12, 2015, at his daughter’s home. The son of Peter and Stella (Socha) Przybylski was born Dec. 3, 1923, in Krakow.
On Sept. 8, 1945, Bill married Marie Lapacz at St. Mary of the Angels Church in Green Bay. The couple raised their family and farmed in the town of Green Valley. Bill also worked for Gabe’s Construction in Sheboygan.
