That’s when and where she was found nearly a year after going missing, but the real date, as well as the cause, remain either unknown or at least not disclosed by authorities.

Proceedings from June 12 A plea/sentencing hearing was held for Adam J. Kuczynski, 28, Oconto Falls. He pleaded no contest to a felony charge of bail jumping March 18 in Oconto Falls. A sentence of three years incarceration was imposed and stayed, and he was sentenced to three years probation concurrent with a Brown County sentence. He received jail credit of 177 days.

Street repairs are planned for the city of Oconto Falls, even as improvements are being made on state Highway 22 in the city. On June 9, the Oconto Falls City Council approved quotes from Joe Barley, of Menominee, Michigan, and Oconto County for improvements to Munsert Avenue, Monroe Street, Cherry Avenue, Ridge Road, Indianwood Drive and the City Hall parking lot. The project will cost about $310,000, paid for in bonds already issued to the city

A Milwaukee man has been charged with homicide in an alleged drunken driving accident that left one person dead and another injured. Daniel O. Grostad, 40, faces six charges related to the death of Erick R. Smith. Grostad made his initial appearance in Oconto County Circuit Court on June 8. According to a criminal complaint, Smith was injured when Grostad lost control of his Dodge Magnum while driving north on County Road T in Doty about 11 p.m.
