Local business owner Patrick Hoffman has become the newest member of the Shawano County Board. Hoffman was appointed Wednesday to complete the unexpired term of District 2 Supervisor Ronald Kupper, who died May 8 at age 73 after a long battle with cancer. Richard “Dick” Todd Aderman, 61, of Shawano, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015. Dick was born in Shawano on April 1, 1954, to the late Russell and Frances (Sperberg) Aderman. Dick was a 1972 graduate of Shawano High School and then attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed trapping, hunting and fishing.

Tigerton will soon have a new grocery store thanks to a lot of hard work by a local entrepreneur and financial assistance from local organizations. Judi Hegewald, owner of Cedar Street Market and Discount Foods LLC in Tigerton, recently received a $50,000 Shawano County revolving loan fund loan and a $10,000 revolving micro-loan from Shawano County Economic Progress Inc.
