Mabell M. Krueger, 96, of the town of Grant, Shawano County, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015, at her home.
The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Marion, is assisting her family.
Dorothy H. Webster, 93, of Shawano, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning, June 20, 2015, at Maple Lane Health Care Center.
Dorothy was born June 30, 1921, in Shawano, a daughter of the late Freeman and Lena (Seehafer) Peterson. Dorothy attended school in Leopolis. On June 7, 1942, she was united in marriage to Raymond B. Webster at St. John Lutheran Church in Leopolis.

Efforts to preserve the endangered language of the Menominee have gotten a boost thanks to a grant that will help a University of Wisconsin-Madison linguist translate native text.
UW-Madison Professor Monica Macaulay, who has long collaborated with the tribe, is working with people fluent in Menominee to convert material written in 1928 into colloquial English.
