Care Wisconsin has opened an office at 300 E. Green Bay St. in Shawano. The phone number is 844-475-9189 or TTY WI Relay 711. Staff is available by appointment. Care Wisconsin will begin serving Family Care members in Shawano County who will transition from the county-administered long-term care programs beginning in September.
Shawano couple ‘beyond happy’ after court ruling

Ainsworth notches second all-state honor
The accolades keep coming for recent Shawano Community High School graduate Courtney Ainsworth. Ainsworth, who led the Bay Conference with 29 hits, this week was named to the Wisconsin Fastpitch Softball Association all-state first team for the second time. “It feels really good to do it two years in a row because not very many people from Shawano can say that,” Ainsworth said. Shawano racing complex to be sold at auction
A motorsports complex that has made Shawano County a national attraction for go-kart races and similar events could soon be under new ownership. They read a book a month from January through November, followed by a Christmas get-together where they plan for the next year.
