Ronald E. Brown, 79, of Shawano, formerly of California, passed away on July 9, 2015. Ronald was born on Sept. 13, 1935, in Parsons, Kan., to the late Harry and Darlene (Rahm) Brown. Ronald was united in marriage on March 6, 1959, to Beverly Reasfsnyder in Garden Grove, Calif. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed doing carpentry and owned and operated his own construction business.

Audrey Dorothea (Eggert) Busch went to her eternal rest on Thursday, July 9, 2015, having attained the age of 88 years. While her daughters, Pamela and Merry, sang “In the Garden,”Audrey took her last soft breath and joined her heavenly family with Jesus. Audrey was born at her parents’ home on March 6, 1927, in Oconto Falls, daughter of the late Michial and Sarahphine (Ratz) Eggert.

New attractions coming to both Kuckuk Park and Memorial Park will allow kids and adults to engage in interactive exhibits that are fun and educational. Much of the infrastructure at Shawano Community Middle School is old enough to qualify for AARP benefits. That’s why Shawano School District officials are considering a referendum in November to provide the needed face-lift to keep the institution going for at least another 25 or 30 years. Estimated costs of a referendum are unknown, as the district awaits final numbers from Somerville, an architectural firm out of Green Bay.
