Michelle (Missy) Marie Boehm, 68, of Maplewood, Minnesota, passed away June 16, 2025, at Regions Hospital, St. Paul, Minnesota. Michelle was a 1975 graduate of Shawano High School and earned her bachelor of science degree in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 1979. A talented and skilled title abstractor, the majority of her career was with Land Title, Inc-Roseville, Minnesota.

Longtime Bonduel resident Doug Bartels will serve as the parade marshal for the village’s annual Fourth of July parade. Bartels graduated from high school in 1962 and went directly into the military. He served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He enlisted and served in the Army for three years and then he reenlisted in the Air Force for another 4 years.

Three juveniles have been identified as suspects in a string of vandalism across Shawano County late last week. A Facebook post by the Shawano County Sheriff’s Department led a parent to call in and report suspicions about their child’s involvement.

Shawano County officials are trying a second time to conduct a first-round sale of real estate foreclosed on by the county. The county has taken possession of five properties due to the owner not paying back taxes.
