Genessee St., Wittenberg; trespassing on County Road Y in the Town of Belle Plaine; disorderly conduct at North Star Casino Resort, W12180 County Road A, Bowler; two reckless driving incidents; four welfare checks; four crashes.

Slowing down is a necessity for aging farm girl

Morning chores when we were dairy farming consisted of hours of work before we came back in the house for breakfast. Opting to tend to the animals before we ate, my husband and I were on the same page.

Auditions coming up for ‘1776’ musical

Abrams Spotlight Productions Inc. will relive history when it presents the musical “1776” on May 7-17.

Actors will have a rare opportunity to portray the United States’ founding fathers including John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin. Auditions will take place from 6-8 p.m. Feb. 11 and Feb. 13 at the Nancy Byng Community Theater, 5852 Maple St., Abrams. Individuals can audition either day.

Shawano girls crush Green Bay East

Marion/Tigerton 60, Faith Christian Academy 23

The Mustangs co-op girls easily handled the Faith Christian Academy Crusaders in a 60-23 nonconference win.

Marion/Tigerton improved to 9-5 overall.

Shawano 60, Green Bay East 20

Shawano pummeled Green Bay East 60-20 to improve to 4-5 in the Bay Conference. The Hawks are 10-6 overall.

Mustangs, Chargers boys win

Manitowoc Lutheran 63, Bonduel 60

Bonduel fell to 13-2 on the season with a 63-60 loss at the hands of Manitowoc Lincoln.

Jack Zernicke led the Bears with 18 points. Ryan Westrich scored 14, Quinn Wesenberg had 12, and Carter Moesch connected on 10. Griffin Uelmen chipped in the other six points.

Oconto Falls boys beat Crivitz

Oconto Falls 92, Crivitz 67

J.J. Pytleski scored 27 points, with Jameson Beaman contributing 23 and Brady Bursa adding 15 in Oconto Falls’ 92-68 win over Crivitz at the Oshkosh Arena.

Bursa led the team with eight rebounds and seven assists, while also adding a block and four steals.

Hundt collects hat trick against Avalanche

The Red Robins fought back from a 2-0 deficit to take the lead and eventually defeat Oshkosh 4-3.

Alex Brittenham scored at 10:09 in the second period with help from Liam Burt and Shepard Snider to bring Antigo within a goal 2-1. Brittenham tied the game at 2-2 at 11:59 with Parker Chaney and Ethan Novy assisting.

Ice Bears leave Glaciers at a standstill

Bay Area 5, Brookfield 0

Elliana Memken scored Bay Area’s first two goals and assisted on a third as the Ice Bears shut out the Brookfield Glaciers 5-0.

Memken scored at 4:59 in the opening period with help from Lily Lyons. She scored again at 7:57, with assists from Addison Dahl and Aisling Buchan.
