Wisconsin Department of Transportation Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is reminding citizens to check and be sure that they have the proper identification needed to vote in the Nov. 5 election. Wisconsin driver licenses or IDs are the most common form of identification used for voting purposes. A federally compliant REAL ID card is not required to show at the polls.

Jean Lockstein, 71, Gillett, died Sunday morning, Oct. 20, 2024, at a Shawano health care facility. She was born Jan. 14, 1953, in Marinette to Lawrence and Elizabeth (Hoffman) Stujenske. Jean grew up in Marinette and Green Bay, graduating from Bay Port High School. On July 20, 1974, she married John Lockstein at St. John the Baptist Church in Howard.

Terry Lynn Jones (Mehlhorn), 63, of the Town of Belle Plaine, lost her over seven-year battle with multiple cancers on Oct. 12, 2024, in her home surrounded by her family. She was born on Sept. 25, 1961, the eldest daughter of Cecil (Uttendorfer) and the late Lavellen Mehlhorn in Shawano.

Tim Konitzer, 69, Freedom, died early Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, at a Green Bay hospital, following an acute illness. He was born Jan. 28, 1955, in Green Bay to Marcel and Marie (Vorron) Konitzer Sr. On Dec. 7, 1974, he married Deb Siebers in Kaukauna, and they had two children. Tim worked as a mechanic and truck driver for all of his life in the area. He was a member of St.

A Neopit man who allegedly foot stomped the head and neck of a woman he was living with was indicted Oct. 23 in federal court with two counts of assault and one count of burglary. Court documents alleged that Nee Gee J. Cloud, 31, rendered the woman unconscious by stomping on her head and neck, punching her repeatedly on the head, kicking her torso and slamming her head onto the floor. The woman was hospitalized for a month for the Sept.

Oct. 22 Pulaski 5, Green Bay Southwest 0 The fourth-seeded Red Raiders took down the 13th-seeded Trojans in first-round playoff action of the boys soccer state tournament. Shawano Kwik Trip employees detained a woman taking money out of the cash register at the convenience store in the early morning hours of Oct. 23. According to a statement from Capt. Shane Stange of the Shawano Police Department, the incident happened at at 2:28 a.m. at the store at 1241 E. Green Bay St. The woman was wearing a disguise and was handcuffed by Shawano County sheriff’s deputies who were the first to arrive on the scene.
