Bonduel 1, Weyauwega-Fremont 0

Joe Felhofer’s hit scored Carter Beilfuss in the bottom of the eighth inning as Bonduel topped Weyauwega-Fremont 1-0.

Aiden Hillsberg was 3-for-3 for the Bears.

Beilfuss came on in relief of Brooks Hartlaben and pitched the last out for Bonduel, getting the win in the process. Hartlaben walked four and fanned 13 in his 7 2/3 innings.

M&O Mini-Meet 5

Lena’s Tanner Behnke and Lucas Mongiat tied at 43 for the second-best score at Hunters Glen Golf Course in Crivitz.

Teammate Cooper Demmith scored 45 and Clay Peters had a 65 for team score of 196 that placed the team in second.

Roger Potter carded a 73.

Gillett was fourth with a 208.

All three doubles teams and there of the four singles players won to give Pulaski a 6-1 victory over Ashwaubenon.

The Pirates shut out the Red Raiders 2-0.

Green Bay East 5, Shawano 2

Green Bay East improved to 5-6 with a 5-2 win over Shawano. The Hawks are 4-6-1.

Wausau 12, Pulaski 5 (boys)

The Wausau Wild co-op team topped the Pulaski boys 12-5 to drop the Red Raiders to 0-9 in the Bay Valley Conference. Pulaski is 0-14 overall.

Central Wisconsin 16, Pulaski 1 (girls)

The Central Wisconsin Wolfpack co-op team trampled over Pulaski, winning 16-1 in a Bay Valley Conference game.

When my husband and I first married, we weren’t golfers. One day, a good buddy of his asked him if he’d like to golf a round. My husband got hooked and dragged me along with him in his quest to conquer the links.

Ending up buying our own set of clubs, we’d golf with friends and family or on our own, just for fun. With anything, practice makes perfect, but even if one practices, a golf game will seldom be perfected.
