Shawano residents can continue to expect the occasional knock on their door, as members of the Jehovah’s Witnesses have recently gone back to door-to-door ministry. Jehovah’s Witnesses suspended door-to-door ministry in March 2020 due to the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Suring Area Historical Society held its Sept. 20 meeting at the Suring Area Library meeting room. The meeting was called to order by interim president Shannon Stoner. The Russel Brock Family presented the SAHS a check of $5,000 at the Suring Labor Day celebration in memory of his wife, Barb.

The Haskell Foundation has announce Andi Weber will be its new executive director. Weber is a Haskell Indian Nations University alum with a bachelor’s degree in Indigenous and American Indian studies and graduated with a Master of Public Administration from the University of Kansas.
