Three weeks of rainouts delayed opening night at the Shawano Speedway until May 3, when Jerry Muenster dropped the green flag to get the season underway.
Muenster is the driver of the No. 79 modified car and was the first honorary starter of the season.
Joel Seegert won the modified feature race, with Luca Lamberies of Clintonville in second and Jordan Bartz of Shawano in third.
Lamberies and Bartz won the heat races.
Jeffrey Teske of Shawano started his season with the win in the sport modifieds feature race. Cole Magrin of Oconto Falls was second, and Freedom’s JJ Vanderloop was third.
Teske started in the fourth spot, while Magrin moved up from 10th. Vanderloop started in sixth.
Pulaski’s Cole Slezewski and Magrin won the heat races.
Shawano’s Troy Springborn started first and finished first in the late models. Mosinee’s Andy Karl was second, and Shawano’s Brett Swedberg was third.
Winning the heat races were Joel Bennett of Hortonville and Springborn.
Trent Nolan of Shawano took the checkered flag in the stock cars feature race. Devin Snellenberger of Pulaski placed second, followed by Dan Michonski of Marion.
Snellenberger, Wausau’s Mitch Stankowski and Gillett’s Travis Welch won the heat races.
In the Mighty 4’s, Shawano’s Dalton Nelson was the feature race winner.
Scott Blanke of Shawano and Taylor Junk of Shawano were the heat race winners.
