Lately I am having a difficult time in finding entertainment. I used to be able to sit down and watch an evening of television and laugh, or cry, or whatever reaction, depending on if I was watching a comedy or a drama. Lately, very little really gets any kind of reaction. Perhaps one reason for that is all of the commercials. Every time I get interested in a show, there comes a commercial break.

Whenever I hear news that a farmer was injured (or worse) due to a farm accident, I’m always filled with dismay and then think, “Couldn’t they have avoided it somehow?” Listening intently, considering the details, I store them away in my mind as I try to learn from their experience. We had an incident on our farm not too long ago that left me shaken and thankful no one was killed or, in the very least, seriously hurt.
