Kenneth W. Dequaine
Kenneth W. Dequaine, 85, Abrams, died surrounded by his family Saturday morning, Jan. 27, 2024, at Good Shepherd Meadow Wood. He was born May 2, 1938, to Raymond and Florence (Delfosse) Dequaine. Ken grew up in Green Bay, where he graduated from East High School with the class of 1957. Following graduation, he served in the U.S.
Charitee B. McKenna
Charitee B. McKenna, 76, of Cecil, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2024. at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay, with her family by her side. She was born on March 7, 1947, in Gillett, daughter of the late Walter and Nora (Dumke) Braun. Charitee was a graduate of Gillett High School with the class of 1965. On March 11, 1999, she married Joseph McKenna. Charitee enjoyed going to the casino and being outdoors, especially collecting rocks.
Robert Hruska
Robert “Bob” Hruska, 87, Gillett, died peacefully Sunday afternoon, Jan. 28, 2024, at a Green Bay hospital surrounded by family and friends. He was born May 19, 1936, in Menominee, Michigan, to William and Mildred (Salewski) Hruska. Bob grew up in Menominee where he graduated high school with the class of 1954.
DMV issues reminder voter ID required for primary
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is alerting voters about how to obtain identification, free of charge, that is valid for voting. Valid identification for voting purposes includes a driver license, identification card, military or student ID card, etc. There is no separate voter ID. A federally compliant REAL ID card is not required for voting purposes.
Dohn Ermis Sr.
Dohn Ermis Sr., 65, of Suring, passed away on Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. Dohn was born on Sept. 12, 1958, to the late Dennis and Phyllis (Firgens) Ermis. In Dohn’s younger years, he found joy and brotherhood in riding with the Highwaymen MC.
Sandra L. Vann
Sandra L. Vann, 79, of Kelly Lake, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024, at Bellin Memorial Hospital with family by her side. Sandy was born on March 31, 1944, to the late Herbert and Grace (Pecard) Hansen. Sandy attended Oconto Falls High School and graduated in 1962. On Oct. 3, 1966, Sandy married Bernard “Vann” Vann, and the couple made their home in Milwaukee. There, Sandy worked for Wisconsin Liquor as a bookkeeper.
