May 14 Rosholt Relays Wittenberg-Birnamwood girls captured several first-place finishes at the Rosholt Relays. Faith Resch won the high jump and the triple jump. Kelsie Davis won the discus. Ava Brei placed second in the long jump with Kylee Beversdorf in third.

Members of the Shawano Allied Vets Council will hold a parade and program on Memorial Day. The parade will line up at 8:45 a.m. at Huckleberry Harbor, step off at 9:20 a.m. and march along Fifth Street to Woodlawn Cemetery. Political campaigning, political ads, candy, sirens and horn blowing are not allowed. The only music to be played during this solemn march of reverence will be by the school bands.
