Marion (Valentine) Stepien, 90, died at Tender Hearts Assisted Living in Suamico on Sunday, May 19, 2024. Marion was born on July 23, 1933, to the late Rose Marie (Murphy) and Roland Valentine. At the age of 12, she moved with her family from rural Hintz, where her parents operated the Linzy Brook Cheese Factory, to the family farm in Abrams. She was a 1951 graduate of Oconto Falls High School.

Roger Allen Radke, 89, of Denver, Colorado, formerly Oconto Falls, died Saturday morning, May 18, 2024. One of 17 children, he was born Nov. 29, 1934, to William and Wanda (Schmidt) Radke in the Town of Oconto Falls. He attended Oconto Falls public schools and graduated high school with the class of 1952.

May 16 Central Wisconsin Conference Championship Wittenberg-Birnamwood golfers scored a 341 as they won the Central Wisconsin Conference Championship at Foxfire Golf Course in Waupaca. Marion finished in fourth with a 370, and Bonduel was seventh with a 382. Wittenberg-Birnamwood’s Joey Seegmiller carded an 80, which tied him for the best score. Popelka would go on to finish the game with a natural hat trick. Maddy Pyatskowit, Darcie Erdmann and Maddie Moesch also scored goals for the Hawks.
